The Station Butte Trail (#3471) is a moderate 1 mile hike/ Named for the old West Boundary Ranger cabin that sat at its base, the trail climbs to the top of Station Butte through second growth Douglas-fir. Accessed from both Winberry Campground and a separate trailhead, it makes a nice hike for campers at Winberry, as well as a winter option to get out into the woods.

Directions: From Eugene, Take Hwy. 58 east to Lowell. Go through Lowell and turn right onto the Jasper/Lowell road. Turn right at the Unity bridge and right again at the base of the dam, going up the Winberry arm. Continue nine miles to the trail head, just beyond the junction of Forest Roads 1802, 1802-150 and 1802-160. Walk over the road bridge on 1802-150 to get to trail (on the left).
