South Fork Trail #3327 is a more difficult 2.5 mile hike at an elevation of 2,720 feet. This trail provides a nice quiet atmosphere through second growth Douglas-fir with the sound of the South Fork of the McKenzie River in the background. The trail has a gentle grade for a leisurely day hike.

Directions: From Blue River, Travel east on Hwy. #126 for 4 miles and turn right onto Rd. 19 (Aufderheide Forest Drive.) Continue for 22 miles, and turn left onto Road 1964 for 2.7 miles, then turn left onto Rd. 456 to Elk Creek Trailhead 0.5 miles.

Elevation: 2,720 feet

Ending Elevation: 2,800 feet

Elevation Gain: 80 feet

Difficulty: Strenuous
