Younger children will love Synergy Parkland, with its dinosaur-themed playground, while the Ivey Watson Playground caters to those younger than six. Older kids, meanwhile, might enjoy the 101-step climb to the top of the DNA Tower, or tackling the 150 steep steps of the Kokoda Track (a tribute to the Australian soldiers who gave their lives in Papua New Guinea in 1942-43). The Botanic Garden will impress every family member with its 620-meter-long treetop walk (the Lotterywest Federation Walkway) and its showcase of Western Australian plant life.
