  • Phillip Island is about a 90-minute drive from Melbourne. A bridge makes it possible to drive onto the island from San Remo.
  • It is possible to visit Phillip Island on an organized day trip from Melbourne. Your hotel concierge should be able to help you book one of these.
  • Visitors are not allowed to take photographs of the penguins, as this disturbs and frightens them.
