The park offers six clearly-marked walking trails ranging from 45 minutes to three hours long, and some breathtaking lookouts back to Port Moresby and the coastline. Birdwatchers go ga-ga over the kingfishers and Raggiana birds of paradise here, and you may catch glimpses of deer and wallabies as well. The mountains here are cool and misty, a welcome respite from the coastal humidity. Many trekkers head further up Sogeri Road to hike the historic World War II Kokoda Trail as well.
