Called the epicenter of Berlin hipdom, White Trash Fast Food (WTTF) encompasses a restaurant, barber parlor, movie theatre, and tattoo parlor. WTFF attained instant cult status thanks to its graphically cool blend of Commie and all-American motifs. You’d imagine David Bowie in his Berlin incarnation as the Thin White Duke hanging out in (maybe that’s why they named it White Trash?), WTFF showcases a varied schedule of punk and alternative bands either in the upstairs restaurant, or in the divey basement called The Diamond Lounge (as in Diamond Dogs). If you want a slice of authentic, kinky, famous Berlin, head to WTFF but don’t expect an exclusive or largely gay clientele. The scene is very mixed and more focused on image and style than sex.
