Praia Mole is one of the best surfing beaches on Santa Catarina Island, and is near the city of Florianopolis. The beach is long, with a few areas of food vendors and bars, but for the most part undeveloped. At one end of the beach, there are rocky paths and dunes for climbing with a view over the ocean. The beach can be crowded, but late afternoons are the best time for surfing, which is when many of the beachgoers have returned to their hotels.
