Open year-round, it's an eight-minute ride to the 2,281-meter-high (7,486-foot-high) peak that provides a far-reaching perspective of Bow Valley, Banff, and the Canadian Rockies. There is also a half-mile boardwalk leading to the Cosmic Ray Station National Historic Site and Sanson's Peak Meteorological Station. There are two restaurants in the observation building, along with a café and a gift shop.
