• Positively Rubenesque in girth, Eagle Beach is Aruba's most relaxed "hotel" strand, with only low-rise resorts running along it and no Jet Skis to disturb the scene. Ideally, spend the afternoon on the sand here, with a spa appointment booked for just before sunset.

Cosseting treatments, including hot-stone and couples massages, are performed against a soothing aural backdrop of distant rolling waves and wind filtering through the palm fronds. There's an indoor room for manicures, facials, and wraps, but the real treat is the open-air experience.
