The Indian Trail offers an alternate route to Fish Lake for hikers using the Skimmerhorn Trailhead. Since there is no bridge over the outlet at Fish Lake and it is difficult to cross with horses, this trail is a hiker only trail.
The trail passes through mixed stands of timber and several small, rocky meadows where wildflowers appear as early as April.
