The Dakota Ridge Trail follows the Dakota Ridge line north/south one mile. It can be accessed from the Mount Sanitas Trailhead.

The Dakota Ridge Trail leads north/south one mile along Dakota Ridge immediately west of central Boulder. It can be accessed from the Mount Sanitas Trailhead and made into a loop by using the Sanitas Valley or Mount Sanitas Trails. This is a short, easy hike for beginners or acclimating visitors.

Directions: From Broadway, Traveling north passed the University turn left on to Mapleton Avenue. The trailhead lies approximately seven blocks west of Broadway.

Elevation: 5,560 feet

Ending Elevation: 6,000 feet

Usage: Heavy

Difficulty: Easy
