The Bluebell-Baird Trail leads south from the Gregory Canyon Trailhead .7 miles to the Chautaugua Trail. The path takes hikers beneath the first Flatiron for spectacular views of the formation. The trail gains 340 feet in elevation and is rated easy by the Mountain Park Rangers. This is an ungraded dirt trail that leads through ponderosa pine forest.
Directions: From Highway 36, Chautaugua Trail Access: Take the Baseline Road exit and travel west toward the mountains. Follow Baseline Road nearly 1.5 miles to the entrance for Chautaugua Park. Turn left into the park. Parking is free at this trailhead.
