On these easy and nearly level trails, you're likely to see deer and birds, and if you're lucky, coatimundi and javelina. Bonita Loop Trail is just 0.2 mile and begins at Bonita parking area. A half mile one way, the trail connects Bonita Creek and Faraway parking areas, which you pass on the left soon after entering the monument. You can easily combine the trails with Silver Spur Meadow Trail, which continues from Faraway parking area to the historic buildings of Faraway Ranch and the 1880's Stafford Cabin, then on to the visitor center or campground.
