There are some silly and cheesy tourist submarines all around the world (some no more than glorified glass-bottom boats), but this German-made, state-of-the-art vessel is the largest passenger submarine in the world. Taking 50 people to a dive depth of nearly 500 feet, it's also one of the deepest diving. The fully air-conditioned submarine has performed more than 2,000 dives safely, and has a normal atmospheric pressure, meaning you are safe to fly right after a ride on it. Common sights are schools of blue- or yellow-striped snappers, lionfish, yellow box fish, turtles, and occasionally white-tip reef sharks and six-foot-long giant groupers. Night dives may also reveal sleeping manta rays.
