• Sant' Agnello is just a mile east of Sorrento, a picturesque town where the rich, famous, and royal have long vacationed. Among the best know "celebrities" may have been Desiree, Napoleon's first love.
• Explore Parco dei Principi, the botanical garden laid out in 1792 by the Count of Siracusa, cousin of the royal Neapolitan Bourbons. The park is now part of the hotel of the same name (see Sorrento hotel information), and includes a playground, idyllic pathways, the Temple of Venus, and yet another splendid panoramic photo op spot with views across the bay.
• The gardens are incredibly romantic, especially the tiny Bridge of Love, which was apparently a favorite spot for Desiree. Being there with kids may be less than romantic, but stop at the bridge, kiss them and tell them you love them--the bridge works for that, too.
