Po'olenalena Beach is a half-mile of mostly deserted sandy beach. It's a great place to swim and snorkel, especially between the natural lava rock formations.

  • No lifeguards here; take note of warnings about surf and waves.
It has been called paradise—maybe because a deserted beach in Maui seems rare. Yet this half-mile stretch of palm-lined sand south of Wailea is often deserted, making it ideal for the two of you to enjoy paradise together. This is a wonderful place to swim.
