Miles Notch Trail is a moderately challenging hike along a ridge of Speckled Mountain.

Miles Notch Trail is a lengthy 5.4 miles hike northward to the terminus just beyond Haystack Notch Trail. The trail travels along a ridge of Speckled Mountain bordering the designated wilderness area. About 3 miles into the hike, Red Rock Trail enters from the right. Red Rock travels westbound into the more popular Bickford area which offers a network of trails and access to SR 113.

Directions: From North Lovell, ME, Travel west on SR 5 approximately 1 mile to a undesignated road on the right. (Kezar Lake is ahead on the right.) Travel this road a little more than a mile and make your first right just before crossing Great Brook. The trailhead is about 1.5 miles north.

Elevation: 1,500 feet

Elevation Gain: 950 feet

Difficulty: Strenuous
