This trail offers panoramic views from an open rock ledge.

The Roost Trail is appropriately named. After negotiating a steep beginning and trekking along a wooded path, the trail opens to wonderful views from a rock ledge. Near the summit, a small spur trail offers even more scenic views. From here the trail makes a gradual descent, crossing a small creek and then onto an old road working its way back to the second bridge over Evans Brook. Note: SR 113 is closed during the snowy winter months.

Directions: From Bethel, ME, Travel west on US 2 approximately 9 - 10 miles, turn south onto SR 113. Travel a few miles and look for trailhead just before crossing the Evans Brook Bridge. There are two Evans Brook Bridges. The terminus of this trail comes out by the second bridge.
