Great Brook Trail begins just beyond Miles Notch Trail and heads in a northwesterly direction for 3.7 miles to the terminus along Red Rock Trail. The path travels along old road beds traversing several small streams before reaching the designated wilderness area. From here, a network of trails is available offering spectacular mountain and waterfall scenery. A good circuit hike is to turn right onto Red Rock Trail which ends at Miles Notch Trail. Take Miles Notch Trail south (right) which takes you back to the trailheads of both Miles Notch and Great Brook.
Directions: From North Lovell, ME, Travel west on SR 5 approximately 1 mile to a undesignated road on the right. (Kezar Lake is ahead on the right.) Travel this road a little more than a mile and make your first right just before crossing Great Brook. The trailhead is about 1.6 miles north, just past the Miles Notch Trailhead.
