"Green Chairs Beach") right next door is just as queer. The only cost of a chair and umbrella is a drink, or if you're saving your pesos, you can lay out on a towel in front of the chairs for free. The gay Blue Chairs Resort by the Sea, the very first gay and lesbian beachfront hotel in Puerto Vallarta, is right in back and has its own bar and restaurant. In winter, you may see whales off the coast, and anytime of year local vendors hawk everything from silver to pies to the sunbathers. Blue Chairs is a must-visit if you want to experience the quintessential gay Puerto Vallarta vacation.
