  • Some say this North Maui beach is the best in the world for windsurfing.
  • Dangerous surf and strong currents are present year-round, but if you arrive on a calm day—early in the morning—the pond-like area created by a coral reef is a perfect swimming spot.
  • Facilities here include restrooms, showers, picnic areas, and two parking lots.
Ho'okipa Beach is the site of major world-class windsurfing, as well as board surfing and competitions. Taking to the waves here is for experts only. That said, there are great viewing and photography areas where you can catch the action from shore.
