  • Take the gondola at night, when the stars shine brightly overhead, the lights of Telluride twinkle far below, and it's just the two of you snuggling close as you glide quietly past the dusky outline of the forest below. The gondola runs until midnight.
  • The plaza is the get-off point for excellent dining-with-a-view at Allred's, as well as the starting point for ski runs in winter and hiking/biking trails in summer.
Aside from the ski slopes, the best ride in town is the free Telluride Gondola. Connecting the town with Mountain Village, the gondola climbs steeply from the river, gliding over ski runs and groves of aspen and fir to a high point of 10,535 feet at
