Directions: From Dolores, This trail is accessed via the Stoner Mesa Road 686, the Spring Creek Trail 627, or the Twin Springs Trail 739. The Stoner Mesa Road access is the easiest and most popular. Take the West Dolores Road 535 north to its junction with the Stoner Mesa Road 686. Take road 686 east approximately 6.5 miles to the signs marking the Twin Springs Trail. Park and walk down to a trail sign near the first stock pond. From there you can go downhill to Stoner Creek or further east and further upstream to a different point on Stoner Creek.The trail parallels Stoner Creek down to private land at the bottom. There is no right-of-way through this private land, so you will need to return the way you entered.
