This trail travels through the infrequently seen and used section of the Conejos Peak Ranger District in the Osier Mountain area. Access to the area may be difficult in spring, when the Conejos River is high. Hikers are advised to contact the District Office about river depth when planning to hike Bear Creek Trail.
