This low-key, colorfully painted cafe by day and mixed gay and lesbian bar by night is one of the places that Roman guys visit on their often circuitous path "out." It's not pretentious, dark, or attitude-laden. The look is made up of plastic furniture and primary colors—sort of reminiscent of an early gay community center. But you can actually have a conversatione here and not be intimidated by the sometimes clique-ish clubs of gay Rome.
