The wine bar, a Roman-era cellar, houses the 200 or so labels on the wine list. The restaurant is in an old palazzo in the Trastavere area of Rome near the historical center, so it's a good choice for dinner after sightseeing. The atmosphere is typically warm, and there's an Italian wine bar cellar with exposed brick, lots of candles on the tables, and bottles everywhere. The New York Times regularly raves about Giuliano's sea bass and praises its almost tourist-free clientele.
