Open since 1979, "The Wasp" is a large, terrific Latino dance club and a must-see, even if you're just passing through San Jose. Energetic, young, busy, and very friendly, this is where the diehard dancers and those who admire them come on the weekend. The whole area is bathed in white with lots of foliage, and upstairs is a huge video screen, pool table, and sitting area. There are frequent theme nights with costumes and live shows. If you can't have a good time here either by participating or just watching, you probably can't have a good time anywhere.
