Karamba is the largest of Cancun's three gay bars. It's located in the downtown on the mainland, where most of the locals live, so it is not surprising that Cancun's most popular club is where you'll meet the non-tourists. Karamba opens at 10:30 P.M. and doesn't start filling up until around 1 A.M. There are no lesbian bars in Cancun, but Karamba is lesbian-friendly, and gay women tend to hang out on the stage area overlooking the dance floor.
