  • Take a stroll out across this narrow bridge that spans the Rio Grande Gorge, cleaving the otherwise flat basalt Taos Plateau. The river is a tiny brown ribbon, 650 below. For perspective, the distance from the water to the bridge is nearly three times that of the Pacific Ocean/San Francisco Bay to the Golden Gate Bridge. Not for those nervous about heights.
