For a city of its size, it may come as a surprise that Hong Kong really doesn't have a gay beach, but Middle Bay Beach on the south side of Hong Kong Island is the closest you will find. Both Chinese and foreign gays lay out in front of the Ruby Court Building in Repulse Bay, as well as around the rocks Middle Bay and South Bay, where nude sunbathing (illegal and rare in conservative Asia) occurs. Beyond Middle Bay Beach, scenic Repulse Bay has other larger and lovely mainstream beaches. Just watch out for water quality before you go swimming.
