Although you'll find karaoke raging in most of the city's gay saunas, this pub is also a good place to get your feet wet in local karaoke culture. The gays get into it just as much as the straights (if not more). Rainbow Pub is located in Kowloon, across the bay from most of the gay clubs on Hong Kong Island, making it a more friendly and intimate experience. This clean and cramped bar is especially popular with chubs and bears (affectionately called pandas here).
