This steep trail has an elevation gain of 2,000ft, but offers a rewarding ridgeline view of Wheeler Peak and the Taos Mountains.
Directions: From Santa Fe, NM, Follow US 285 to NM 68 to Paseo del Pueblo Norte (US 64) to NM 150 heading to Arroyo Seco. After 8.3 miles, carefully pull off onto the shoulder. The trailhead lies on the left side of the road.
