The Black Canyon trail is an easy hike through a small, well shaded section of an aspen-fir forest.

Many wildflowers grow in the area of this trail, such as columbine, clematis, false solomon’s seal, and oregon grape; various butterflies species can also be spotted among the surrounding undergrowth. This trail is well suited for children and families.
