FamilyExpert Tips & Helpful Hints
  • This is a don't miss tour that includes dog sledding (on wheeled sleds in summer) and a kennel tour at the homestead of one of the great families of Iditarod racing. There's lots of great info and insights into the most famous dog-sledding race in the world.
  • For younger children, a highlight is definitely cuddling with the Husky pups, future Iditarod stars of the Seavey kennel, after sledding.
  • Another highlight is when guests get to dress up in real musher's clothing. How do they undo all that stuff to go to the bathroom during the race? Someone is sure to ask during the Q&A.
