Weeknights are the best time to experience this fun, rambunctious place, and straight women also seem to enjoy the party-hearty atmosphere (no wonder the secret darkroom is only accessible via an entrance in the men's bathroom). Half a cab juts out from a wall, there's a glassed-in chill room, and everyone stands everywhere, making it difficult or fun, depending on your viewpoint, to move around in the cramped space. Take a taxi, since it's far from the tourist centers and a little tricky to find.
