The star of the show here is the enormous reclining Buddha, which, at 46 meters long and 15 meters wide, wows visitors young and old. If its size isn't impressive enough, this colossal Buddha is also gold plated, and his oversized feet feature mother-of-pearl inlay drawings that show the 108 auspicious characteristics of Buddha. Take time to examine some of the other thousand Buddha images in the temple complex. The four Phra Maha Chedi are another highlight. Dedicated to the first four kings of the Chakri Dynasty (Kings Rama I, II, III, and IV), these colorful pagodas tower over 40 meters high. The expansive temple grounds are a perfect place for young ones to burn off some adrenaline as they admire ornate bots and 95 striking chedi.
