- The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is one of the most sacred sites in Thailand, and only those dressed conservatively (a sign of respect) are admitted. For women this means opaque clothing and covered shoulders, while men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves. Anyone wearing sandals has to put on a pair of socks.
- If you need to borrow clothes to cover up, you can get these from a booth near the entrance. A refundable deposit is required.
