Isla Espiritu Santo is a 23,383-acre island in the Sea of Cortez. It features a number of rare species, including the blacktailed jack rabbit, ground squirrel, and two snake species. The island houses 43 regional plant species and its surrounding waters support coral reefs, resident colonies of sea lions, and 500 species of fish.
