• The cathedral sits next to the Palace of the Popes, so you can easily explore both in one outing.
• Do some research on architectural styles before visiting. While the cathedral was originally built in the 12th century, it has been added onto many times and today melds Provencal Romanesque, Byzantine, Baroque, and Gothic elements.
• Check out the white marble throne near the entrance to the chancel. The animals carved on the sides represent saints--the lion is Saint Mark, the ox is Saint Luke.
