Located on a side street just off the Grand Place, this little statue of a little boy has been relieving himself for several centuries and shows no evidence of running dry. New York has the Statue of Liberty; Chicago has Sears Tower. The Mannekin is the official mascot of the city and you'll see reproductions of him all over town. On a Saturday night, after lots of Belgian beer, you can encounter tourists and locals recreating his pose most effectively. The gay district and clubs are about a ten-minute walk through the plaza from the Mannekin.
