• The clock tower was closed for years, but re-opened in 2005.
• The Clock Tower is on the north side of Piazza San Marco, and it's one of the Piazza attractions that can be seen in a short amount of time if you're looking for brief sightseeing "encounters" that won't over-tax a child's limited capacity for lengthy sightseeing.
• The tower was built in the 15th century, and the original clockworks still keep perfect time. There is an admission charge.
