First Light Travel runs everything from half-day tours up the Waitangi Estuary right to the horseshoe-shaped Haruru Falls, to fully-guided three-day tours to the Bay of Islands' outer isles. The three-day trip is available in the warmer months, from November to May, and is recommended, since kayaking is the best (and sometimes only) way to see many of the islands and regions in the area.
