Okay, here's the skinny on Turkish baths: It's not like in the homoerotic Turkish movie Steam. Fashionable gays tend to stay away from the baths because they are old, they smell, and they are full of unattractive senior citizens. But you're a tourist, and you have to go to this most famous 200-year-old beauty just to see her amazing interiors and imagine them full of gorgeous Ottoman-era dandies. (It is said that Vlad the Impaler, Dracula himself, was taken prisoner by the Sultan and bathed in one of these to ready him for the Sultan's pleasures.) It's about $35 for admission, a bath, and a massage, but don't expect Four Seasons' level service. Just expect to use your imagination and call up the images this piece of history evokes. This is not a terribly cruisy experience, but you might actually meet another tourist to hook up with here.
