• Paris is full of wonderful parks, but make a point of going to this one. On the western edge of the city, it is actually many parks inside a huge park, which can be confusing when you're reading about it in guide books.
• Jardin d'Acclimation is the primary children's area with a small amusement park, zoo, and a couple of children's museums--one devoted to herbs.
• Other areas to visit, depending on the age of your kids: Shakespeare Garden with every plant mentioned in the Bard's plays, the lake where you can take out boats just as Parisian families do; and Cirque Phenix Junior, a small circus whose performers juggle, walk tightropes, do acrobatics, and more.
