The Musée Picasso or the Picasso Museum is perhaps Le Marais' most underrated cultural gem. Located in Hôtel Salé, a 17th-century palace, the museum houses 203 paintings, 191 sculptures, 85 ceramics, and over 3000 drawings, engravings, and manuscripts from Picasso's personal collection along with select works by Cézanne and Matisse. A visit to the museum won't take long at all. In fact, the lines to get in can sometimes take longer to navigate than the museum itself. However, the experience of visiting the beautifully restored Hôtel Salé and exploring its contents is not only well worth the ten euro admission price, but a truly cultural way of whiling away a few glorious hours in historic Le Marais.
