The pretty forest on the way up to this long natural arch and the fine views may get you wondering why it wasn’t named after an angel! A well-graded trail climbs steadily through Arizona cypress, juniper, pinyon pine, and manzanita to Devil’s Bridge, a 1.8-mile roundtrip with a 400-foot elevation gain. The bridge doesn’t appear until near trail’s end, and you can climb on top if you dare. From the Y in Sedona (junction of AZ 89A and AZ 179), head west 3.1 miles on AZ 89A, turn right on Dry Creek Road (Forest Road 152C) and follow it 2 miles, then turn right on unpaved Forest Road 152 and look for the trailhead on the right after 1.3 miles.
