Slide Rock Park has seen the making of many Hollywood movies such as "Broken Arrow" (1950) with James Stewart, "Gun Fury (1953) with Rock Hudson and Donna Reed, and "Drum Beat" (1954) with Alan Ladd and Charles Bronson (courtesy, Arizona State Parks Northern Region)
Slide Rock State Park is a 43-acre homestead with an elevation of almost 5,000 feet. It features a 30-foot natural rockslide, and visitors can swim in the creek below, observe the area wildlife, or enjoy a hike or picnic.
