Urabá is part of the Taboga National Wildlife Refuge, which hosts one of the largest populations of brown pelicans in the world. Hard corals grow on the lava rock around this tiny outpost, and a diverse group of fish, from reef tropicals to larger game fish and goliath grouper, can be found in the surrounding waters.
