The Old Railway Bike Trail provides a leisurely pedal through fields and forests and alongside three lakes. Wide enough to ride side-by-side, flat, and surfaced with crushed gravel, this 6.2-mile path runs between the Mew Lake and Rock Lake campgrounds as it traces a stretch of track built by the historic Ottawa, Arnprior, and Parry Sound Railway in 1895. Reach the east end of the trail from the Rock Lake or Coon Lake campground, or the west end from Mew Lake or Lake of Two Rivers. Riders can bicycle directly from their sites to the starting point. Trails leading from Kearney Lake and Pog Lake campgrounds hit the trail's midpoint after crossing a dam on the Madawaska River.
