The Algonquin Visitor Centre provides a full debriefing on the park through a series of exhibits and displays. Dioramas show the park's five major habitats—hardwood forests, coniferous forests, spruce bogs, beaver ponds, and lakes—while the Human History Gallery takes visitors on a journey through time. A model logger describes the experience of being a logger in the park during the 1800s. The Algonquin Room presents landscape and wildlife artwork by local artisans. There is also an excellent outdoor- and wildlife-focused bookstore on-site, along with a restaurant and a deck that provides a magnificent view over the Algonquin wilderness.
